According to Rasmussen reports Musgrove has 1 point lead in the Miss. senate seat for Lott's seat. As this is within the margin of error either person could technically be leading. As this is rasmussen's first poll there are no trend lines.
The first Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of the race finds a pure toss-up--former Governor Ronnie Musgrove (D) attracts 47% of the vote while Wicker earns 46%. Musgove leads by ten points among women but trails by eight among men.
The democrats already picked up Wicker's Miss district 1 representative seat, if we can get the senate seat too it would be great.
A number of people have commented on the lack of a democratic candidate in Miss. 3rd to challenge Pickering. It turns out there is an independent candidate, Jim Giles. I googled him to find out if he was supportable. I doubt ANYONE who reads this site (even many repubs who just look in to see what the other side says) would back him. He is a Pro-White, anti-everybody else racist. I'd have to back Pickering. :-(
